About Roast

Located at 56 Stutton Road, along the parade of popular shops is Roast, an independent family run coffee shop & bistro serving delicious, homemade food.

Opened by Pippa & Chris Witty in January 2019 we aim to source the very best in local produce.

Our team at Roast believes passionately about great tasting, locally produced, home cooked food. We support local suppliers and the environment wherever possible.

Examples from our menus include our delicious Creamy Mushrooms & Sourdough Toast, lip-smacking Belgian Waffles with maple syrup and scrumptious Eggs Benedict.

During the winter months we offer specials of homemade soups and comforting stews. In summer, salads, ice-cream milkshakes and iced lattes are all popular choices. We serve superb quality coffee from our local supplier with cakes and freshly baked sausage rolls and quiches firm favourites. We also hold a drinks licence, so you can enjoy a tipple with your meal.

Great Burgers

We serve terrific burgers. They are made from the best quality prime steak from our local butcher and prepared to maximise their juiciness. Quality Coffee

Our 100% Arabica blend is grown on Fairtrade certified smallholder farms and roasted in small batches in Yorkshire. An awesome combination of caramel and dark chocolate with subtle fruit complexity all adds up to a great cup of coffee every time.

Breakfast

Our Hearty Yorkshire breakfast is one of legend, using the best quality, locally sourced ingredients. If you want a great Bacon Sandwich, scrumptious Eggs Benedict or a fluffy Belgian Waffle, you know where to come!

Eat In

If you want to kick back with your paperback or kindle, catch up with family and friends over coffee or celebrate the latest football results over brunch, we offer a friendly, relaxed vibe which is popular with locals from every generation.

Take Out

Sometimes our busy lives mean we don’t always have time to sit and relax but it doesn’t mean you have to miss out on great food. We offer a take-out option across our whole menu so you can enjoy them in the comfort of your own home, at your office desk – or on a picnic blanket.
